Crystal Bien’s passion for the arts inspired the creation of the RiverBien platform, recognized in 2023 by Taiwan’s Overseas Community Affairs Council as a “Top 30 Global Young Business Star.” That year, she represented at the APAC gala in the U.S., with RiverBien products featured as VIP gifts at Taiwan’s National Day reception in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her venture, Bingo Art Co, later secured investment from Taiwan’s National Development Fund.

Previously, Crystal was a business consultant in Silicon Valley, a lecturer at Purdue University’s Management School, and held leadership roles at Taiwan’s Sovereign Wealth Fund, managing investments and serving on company boards. Her professional journey also includes experience with IBM Global Business Services and UNIEI Lab in the UK.

Crystal earned a Ph.D. in Strategic Management from Purdue University, a Master’s in Applied Molecular Biology from the University of Nottingham, and a Bachelor’s in Agricultural Economics from National Taiwan University. She was awarded the Taiwan Top University Alliance Scholarship for doctoral studies at Harvard University.
