We often greet our family and friends with blessings of ” Happy New Year, Good Fortune”, pray for a full load of blessings, and look forward to a smooth and promising start for the new year. In general, the blessings we expect are excellent financial status, career advancement, good health, and longevity. It seems that if we have these, we can have peace of mind, and have the best life of plain sailing, full of happiness and blessings. However, there are unforeseen circumstances, and unpredicted challenges, and unfortunates. The world is turbulent due to the epidemic. It is difficult to pray for happiness and worry-free.
What is the “blessing” of Christians? God in Christ has given us all types of spiritual blessings. Whether in good times or bad times, the Lord shows us His mercy and grace, and be with us, we may rely on the Lord to overcome sins and challenges and live a rich life. This is the best blessing of being a Christian! May this Lunar New Year, the Holy Spirit guides us to think about the eternal blessings, not to seek worldly pleasures, to often rejoice and obtain eternal happiness in the Lord.
