It is said that the greatest asset of life is companionship. So, who or what is the best companion in our life?
Many people think pets are the most loyal companions. I am a dog lover. Growing up with my dog before my siblings were born, I thought dogs are the best companion for human beings for a very long time. However, after I came to know the Lord, I believe that our heavenly father is the best and closest companion for us not only in our daily life on earth but also in the eternal life.
God’s everlasting companionship and guidance not only keeps us from loneliness but save us from the fowler’s snare. He rescues us in trouble time; He is our shelter, our fortress. No matter we are on the mountains or in the valleys, God is faithful and reliable. He promises that he is with us always (Matthew 28:20).
What a companion! Praise the Lord! Human and pets may be temporal, but God’s love and promises are the same yesterday, today and tomorrow! His love endures forever!
I am a companion of all them that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts. (Psalm 119:63)
