Paul reminds us in Philippians to always think about the good side and be content no matter the circumstances. Thinking about good things and learning to be content can open our hearts and make us happy. Pastors also often remind us: no matter how our world and environment changes, we must remember that the joy given by the Lord cannot be taken away by the world! No matter how difficult the situation is today, make sure to choose to trust God! Just like Paul. In fact, most of Paul’s life was not smooth, but he chose to rely on the Lord, and he gained the joy of working with others, the joy of relying on the Lord, the joy of praying, the joy of thinking about good things, the joy of being helped, the joy of being content, and the joy of expanding. The joy that comes from relying on God is the strength of our daily lives. Amen!
