Join our Art Exploration classes for 6-12 year-olds and develop your child’s fine motor skills, creativity, and curiosity about art! Kids can explore a world of colors, textures, shapes, and basic techniques for working with clays and paints in our fun and exciting classes. AGE GROUP: 6-12 YEARS OLD
CLASS LENGTH: 50 MINUTES
Our art class covers a variety of fun and engaging topics to help kids explore their creativity.
INTRODUCTION TO COLORS. In the class, kids will learn about primary colors and how they can be combined to make new colors.
EXPLORATION OF TEXTURE. Children at this age love to touch and feel things. They will be introduced to different textures and materials to use in their art projects.
STYLE AND SPACE. The class will teach children about different style and space, which can help them develop spatial awareness and creativity.
BASIC TECHNIQUES. Basic techniques for working with clays and paints, such as mixing colors, using different brush strokes, and shaping clay, will also be covered. Kids will be encouraged to experiment and try new things.
STORYTELLING THROUGH ART. Children will be encouraged to use their imagination and creativity to tell stories through their artwork. This will help them develop their artistic abilities and imagination.
Don’t worry if you’re starting late – we’ve got you covered! Our classes are ongoing, so your child can join at any time. We cover important art concepts like drawing people and animals, nature, and architecture. We repeat these concepts every 1-2 months, each time exploring a new topic and using new art materials. We rotate topics every 2-3 years, so your child will have plenty of opportunities to explore different subjects. Throughout the classes, we’ll master a variety of art materials including acrylics, watercolors, pastels, pencils, markers, and clay.
